Cleanliness

To ensure that the quality of the Company’s tap water meets the drinking water standards of the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TIS.257 Part 1-2521 (1978)), the Company has used computer systems to control the water production and distribution, e.g., the automatic chemical injection system which would adjust the quantity of chemical substance based on the varying production quantity, to ensure that tap water produced by the production process meets the required standards at all times; and the inspection of water quality by an electronic water quality measurement equipment connected to the production controlling system to always maintain tap water quality. Moreover, the Company has an internal chemical laboratory for inspection of tap water quality as produced and distributed on a daily basis. In addition, to guarantee the quality of produced tap water, the Company delivers, on a monthly basis, samples of produced and distributed tap water to the Research & Laboratory Development Center, Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health, for inspection and confirmation of the Company’s tap water quality. Therefore, it can be assured that the tap water distributed by the Company is clean and qualifies as “drinking tap water.”

Sufficiency

Under the ongoing economic and social growth which results in continued increase in tap water demand of consumers in the service areas, the Company has taken into account demand for water consumption and thus designed the tap water production system to accommodate the maximum average production capacity of 320,000 cubic meters per day, along with tap water storage tanks installed at three facilities, i.e., Bang Len Water Treatment Plant, Buddha Monthon Pumping Station and Mahachai Pumping Station, with the total tap water storage capacity of up to 100,000 cubic meters. Water is distributed to consumers by pumps with an average pressure of up to 500 meters, so as to cover the high pressure pipeline for water distribution along the entire length of 113 kilometers. It can be thus assured that water will be available in sufficient quantity and pressure to all service areas of the Company.

Continuity

Given that the ability to continually distribute tap water to consumers 24 hours a day is the goal which the Company wishes to achieve at all times, the Company must then be well-prepared in all aspects in order to achieve such goal, namely :

  1. The Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is applied to ensure thorough and efficient maintenance management at all times, including preparation of standard operating manual for all staff to perform duties to meet the required standards in the same direction, together with procedures for solving any emergencies systematically and promptly.

  2. The Company has designed and installed production units and water pumps ensuring backup units to accommodate maintenance or in case where the production activity or any water pump is unable to normally function, including installation of backup generators for tap water production and distribution to ensure the continued process in case of power failure.
