The Tha Chin River is the water source for the Banglen water Treatment Plant. The river is served by a catchment area of 13,681 km3 covering eleven provinces in the western part of Thailand. The main source of water for the Tha Chin River is from two other rivers; firstly from the Chao Phraya river at Pho Praya gate, Supanburi province and secondly from Mae Klong river at Tha Sarnbangpla canal gate, Nakorn Pathom Province. These two gates are located upstream of the raw water pumping station of Banglen Plant and on average provide to the Tha Chin river around 50 m3/day. contribution to the Tha Chin river does not lead to a lack of water for agriculture or cause any sea water polution from Samut Sakorn from the Thai Gulf. |
