Consumption of water in the Household and Industry Sectors The treated water is clean, safe and follows the standard of quality set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TIST). The water is recognized as being suitable for domestic consumption and for use in industrial production. All over the world treated water is used in several industries such as the food industry, textile industry, chemical industry, pulp and paper Industry, and leather industry etc.

For the most efficient use of clean water, we have to be concerned about environmental conservation and also ground settlement problems in Bangkok and its suburbs because of the large amount of water pumped from underground. The government has tried to solve the ground settlement problem by campaigning to decrease the number of factories employing underground water and to replace this with the consumption of treated water. It is well known that in industrial production, clean water is an essential and important resource.

"Water" is the most significant natural resource to humans. Therefore, everyone should be concerned about the efficient use of water, and should acknowledge the problems in making the best use of existing water resources, and reducing waste water pollution to preserve the world's eco-system.
